local family gets inexpensive car

Our Mission

Community Auto, a program of North Hills Community Outreach, makes vehicle ownership affordable to low-income working individuals and families.  Since 2003, Community Auto has helped families in hardship move from dependency to self-sufficiency.

Who We Serve

Community Auto serves low-income working individuals and families in the Pittsburgh metropolitan area. We have partnerships with organizations serving Allegheny, Butler, Beaver, and Washington counties.

What Makes Us Special?

beth with baby and priusCommunity Auto accepts car donations and puts them into the hands of working families in the Pittsburgh area. Purchasers receive their vehicles with a valid Pennsylvania inspection sticker, a one-year AAA-Plus membership, a six-month warranty, gas cards and new car seats for children who need them. NHCO and Community Auto stand behind every car sold.

When you donate a car to Community Auto, you  change lives. Transportation can be a major hurdle for people in hardship and poverty who want to acquire and maintain employment. When you donate a car, you help a struggling family in the Pittsburgh area gain financial and personal independence.

When your donated vehicle goes to a low-income working family,
you could receive the maximum tax deduction and you get the satisfaction of helping someone achieve a better life.
A local family gets an amazing opportunity.
